While we found all we were looking for, customer service was less than stellar. Even when we asked for assistance, there was never a smile and we were made to feel more like an interruption of their day. Next time at least smile.
I typically love going to Lowes. I never really have an issue. Here recently I think their quality of staff is suffering. I custom ordered a door, had to wait 4 weeks for it to come in. Went to pick it up and it was damaged. I'm more upset that they couldn't call and tell me. They could've asked if I wanted to send it back. Instead they waited for us to come pick it up and let us find the damage ourselves. It wasn't wrapped in anything to protect it or nothing. Now we're having to go through returning a damaged custom order. I'll be going somewhere else from now on.
I couldn't give it any less than one star. This place is a joke. They couldn't spell customer service much less deliver on it. Take your business to a family owned hardware store instead of wasting your money with this corporate conglomerate. You will be better off in the long-term and probably receive a better price!
I had a horrible experience trying to return an item i purchased that was faulty. The cashier named Stacey was beyond rude & accusatory acting like i deliberately broke the weedeater. I have NEVER had such terrible customer service anywhere. After returning my item i shopped around when i went to check out the cashier named Carlita let me place my items on the belt & answered a question i had but instead of scanning my items & checking me out she actually turned around and walked off & never returned. She didn't tell me she would b right back or to switch register's or anything!! What on earth is going on at Lowe's in madisonville ky?!?!? I have a friend that works at Lowes and shes one of the best people i know, very friendly, salt of the earth. So i don't believe its a storewide habit to be accusatory, dismissive & rude to customers. But i am sure that at least Stacy & Carlita are a blight to the lowes friendliness campaign. Very disappointing Lowes.... I do feel compelled to mention that a young ma. Took @ the transaction after Stacy's outburst i didn't get his name but he had longish dark hair, glasses he was very nice and made my expirence a lil better with his postive attitude
